Thursday, April 8, 2010 3rd Day In Hong Kong! It was DISNEY DAY! WEE!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah, after the 2nd day, I'm fully prepared to head out into the cold. So, early in the morning, with the "weather for the day" shown on TV, we were fully clothed from head to toe. We're ready to battle the cold!!!!!!!!! Headed to the famous Hong Kong Cafe! There was a franchise located near to our hotel, so we headed there for breakfast! It's called 翠華餐厅, and it's indeed one of the nicer Hong Kong Cafe. ![]() Took quite a heavy breakfast, because we didn't want to spend money on food in Disneyland, since it's expected to be EXPENSIVE and NOT TASTY AT ALL! After that, we headed to another MTR station that is also located near our hotel. The East Tsim Sha Tsui station, which was said to be a faster way to reach Disneyland rather than taking from Tsin Sha Tsui station. Well, definitely the faster the better right?! Camwhoring while waiting for the train. Apparently, the trains in Hong Kong come at a frequency of 2-3mins, which is so much faster! And they have so many different coloured routes even though Hong Kong is very small as well. Singapore's circle and downtown line better be ready soon! Competition is rising! ![]() Took individual shots with our Disneyland entrance ticket! ![]() The special train dedicated to the Disneyland route, the train only runs from the station to Disneyland and back. Call that specialization! The train is very different from the other trains running on other routes. These trains have cushioned seats, special Mickey shaped windows and handholds. In each carriage there are a few Disney character statues placed as well. Super Disney-like FEEL! ![]() Even the Disneyland station also very chio! Fantasy enough, way before we entered Disneyland. ![]() The time we reached was exactly 12pm. Way too lucky! If anyone tells me that the clock is actually 12.01pm or 12.02pm, I don't give a damn. It's so obvious that it's 12pm right?! Those who disbelieve can fuck yourself and die! Fall madly in love with the train sia! Refusing to leave without taking a last photo of it! And the clock still shows 12pm okay?!!! HONG KONG DISNEYLAND! *screams in excitement* So due to our over-excitement upon seeing Disneyland, we decided to leave our composure behind, and let loose our inner monster to enjoy the entire day in ultimate madness! We started out with one jump shot, since we're all shy and demure. We didn't want the other customers to be startled by our sudden eagerness and enthusiasm! Eventually, we didn't care about the on-lookers anymore, we just did multiple jump shots until we're feeling exhausted but they did laugh at our stupid and hideous act. ![]() After so many jumps, these are the best ones out of so many! Click the image for larger view. ![]() Pictures of Disney characters hanging on the lamp posts along the way to the ticketing entrance! There was Winnie, Ariel, Mickey, Tinkerbell, Hercules, Buzz Lightyear and so many others! *at that point in time, I was feeling super excited already! Felt like a child once again!* ![]() A very nice water fountain with statues of Mickey and Friends. They are all doing something related to water. ![]() Mickey's riding a whale, Minnie's playing with a seal, Goofy's wake boarding, Pluto's playing with fishes, Daisy's trying out diving, and Donald's stuck on board a wrecked ship! We've officially entered Disneyland! I ALMOST CRIED ONCE I ENTERED! The area was playing Disney songs, which were so nice, and made me very emotional! I'm serious! The notice on top of the tunnel totally caught my eyes, and it's super NICE! FANTASY!!!!!!!! Once one enters, he/she wouldn't wanna leave anymore. I'm sure of that! "Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world. " - Walt Disney ![]() THE EVER-SO ADORABLE STITCH! Although it was just a poster, we still posed along with it! A super stylish bus in Main Street! But it apparently doesn't work I guess. Oh and I guess the driver must be a man with super short legs, because the space between the seat and the accelerator is super small, I was squeezing my way in just to take a photo! Yes, the picture says everything. If you have whatever evil comments in your mind upon seeing this, keep it to yourself. Maybe you might also wanna look in the mirror first before saying anything, because by that time, I do suppose you would have nothing to say! HAH! We're at USA MAIN STREET! SO CHIO! Still can see the castle behind us! The various shop along the street! Even the exterior is so nice! What more the interior right?! There was a marching band performing at the time, and they actually dance along to their music. Super cute! The magnificent Sleeping Beauty's castle. I always assume that the castle is Sleeping Beauty's and not Cinderella's or Snow White's because I prefer the Sleeping Beauty. She's the only authentic and pretty princess among all! Disagree? Let me explain to you. Cinderella wasn't really a princess, she's just an average lady who was stuck in a house with evil siblings and step mother. Poor girl! But she became a princess because she's lucky she had a fairy god mother who helped her gained that title. If the fairy god mother didn't appear, what more is she, except that poor girl? Snow White. Fine, she's a princess! But she's ugly! Her lips are so small and so are her eyes, and so white for what? Super scary can! Ariel. Princess in the sea. Got no castle, so shoo! Belle. Also another average lady with exceptional beauty. Became a princess because of the Beast what. So also not counted! Jasmine. Arabian princess, stays in some kinda Taj Mahal style palace, not a castle. So definitely not hers also right? Yup, that concludes it all, which apparently means that the castle is Sleeping Beauty, Princess Aurora's castle lah! Anyways, back to photos and the trip! Group pic! Still can see the castle! How big is it? SUPER BIG! Even the flowers in Disneyland is more beautiful than flowers outside! And the colours, so bright and nice can! So, we entered Fantasyland! And the first person we saw was Cinderella! Wanted to take a photo with her, so we entered the queue. But eventually, got sick of waiting so long. Yup, I'm a very impatient person even though I'm waiting for one of the beautiful princess in history. So, with the intention to give up, we saw this super adorable little girl taking a photo with Cinderella, and she's really SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER CUTE! Decided to officially say bye to princess of history and head to princess of the present and future. She's wearing Mickey ears! SO CUTE! Couldn't control myself! I simply adore cute children okay? Not that I'm a paedophile or what! I was totally amazed! How can a little girl be so cute?!!! She's even cuter than my Nicole can! So, we asked her mum whether its okay to take a photo with her, and her mum agreed! And she wasn't the least shy, she stood with us and smiled. SO CUTE RIGHT?!!!! CUTE RIGHT? CUTE RIGHT? Shit, I'm repeating myself! Really very cute lah! Totally win Cinderella can! So, upon saying goodbye to her and her mum, we bid Cinderella the bitch farewell, since she doesn't wanna take a photo with us and walked away. Okay, actually it's because the queue became longer after we went out to play with the little girl. Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs Statue. So, the first ride that we took was the Story of Winnie the Pooh! Well, reason being me and BFFs love the Winnie gang, and also because we're nearer to that ride lah. Pic with our favourite gang! ![]() The ride basically brings us through a day in Thousand Acre Woods, and see what Winnie and the gang are doing. It's super cute! The carriage we were in was something like a honey jar, and according to the story, the carriage actually moves with it in a almost similar way. For example, Tigger is bouncing around, so the carriage starts moving up and down in movement, like it's bouncing as well. Upon seeing a mirror during the ride, we decided to take a group pic, but we failed to notice the camera in front of us, until the flash came. It was all too late..... Next, we went to sit on Cinderella's Carousel! Don't know why it's her Carousel, maybe because she's the only one with horses in those fairy tales. There were like super alot of mirrors all around the Carousel, so took a photo! While waiting for our turn on board the ride! More photos! Super ugly! But I like~~ Me and BFF Daphne!!! =D ![]() Finally on board! We each picked our favourite horse! And mine? Still need to ask? Obviously, a white one lah! I'm Prince Charming! *coughs coughs* We actually had found the schedule for the various shows in Disneyland before we came, so upon looking at the time, we immediately ran over to watch The Golden Mickey. Apparently, it was one of the "Must-See" when you visit. The previous time that I came, I missed it, so I would give anything to watch it this time round! The walkway leading towards the auditorium for the show. GOLDEN MICKEY! Well, because the show only have a few timings, there were alot of people waiting to watch it as well. Lucky we're the typical Singaporeans! We entered roughly 20mins earlier to avoid the queue and to ensure we get good seats. So, being a Singaporean at that time wasn't really a bad thing! Waiting for the show to start. ![]() The show was amazing! It's something like the Oscars, but Disney style, and showcases wonderful Disney characters and stories. It's also like a musical, with song and dance. SUPER NICE! There was the Toy Story, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan, TARZAN (He is super duper hot! Everyone's eyes were glued onto his body lah!), Lilo and Stitch, Beauty and the Beast and also Mickey and gang! The entire show gave me goosebumps! It was super enjoyable, definitely a "MUST SEE" I swear! After that, we headed to Tomorrowland! And we went to ride on the roller coaster. It was super exciting! In the dark, where you can see planets, stars, the milky way and shooting stars, and thrilling music is also played from the speakers right beside. SUPER THRILLING! The first photo was super ugly! So, we went and took a second time, and we still enjoyed it. Scream and shout like crazy! Each time on board just gets better! Oh, and while we were enjoying our roller coaster ride indoors, it started raining outside. Getting heavier by the minute, but it didn't ruin our enthusiasm! We continued playing out in the rain, because we know most people will be looking for shelter and there wouldn't be a long queue for rides. GOOD TIMING TO RAIN! ![]() Went on their version of "Go Kart", think something like CARS! But this one follows a specific rail road, so we can't really drive freely, so to enhance the overall experience, we decided to bang each others' car, since the people in front of us were going at really slow speed, and we were getting very wet due to the rain. By the time we got off the car, we were super duper wet, especially our asses, because the seat was filled with rainwater! Not sure if you can see the rain, but it's actually quite obvious it's very heavy lah! But still didn't destroy our joyous mood. The parade was about to start, so we quickly made our way back to Main Street. See, super heavy rain! But we didn't use any umbrella, just covered ourselves with our hoodies. Just got to love hoodies! Best buy, good buy, must buy! Shop selling hoodies can look for me to advertise! =D ![]() The parade started, and it was sooooo different from the one that I watched when I came for the first time. Because it's raining, they changed the parade to a rainy day parade, and it sucks! But, a different experience. It was just a choo choo train, and all the Disney characters just stand on different carriages and wave to everyone, that's it. Lasted less than 5mins I think. SO STUPID! But Mickey and Friends were dressed in raincoats so as to fit the theme. But the usual parade was so much better, with so many floats and characters, think CHINGAY but Disney theme, and you'll get the idea! After that ended, we headed back to Tomorrowland to finish up the rides. Took a pic. I have a planet in my palm! BEAT THAT! ![]() Then, we're astronauts from TEAM MICKEY! And we found a useless piece of rock, oh wait, I think that's a planet or something behind us. ![]() Then, we went on this space disk thingy, which wasn't fun at all, but because there wasn't any queue and anyone on the ride at all, we went for it. It's just a ride that goes up and down while going in circles. And Kim actually enjoyed it, and requested for a second round, even though we all disagreed. Sucks to have a BFF who enjoys stupid rides! Yes Kim, I'm referring to you! Next, we headed to see Stitch! Didn't know what it was about, just that it's also some performance thingy. But in actual fact, it's an interactive virtual show, and we are helpers of Stitch in space, and had to help him with things. Super cute! The show has alot of timings, but different languages are used at different timings, basically just Mandarin, English and Cantonese. Got bored while waiting. Since we were like 20mins early, because the show just started, we had to wait for the next one. ![]() The Stitch in the collage were taken in the show, cute right? It's just some virtual display on the screen but with someone talking as him to make the entire program interactive loh, like talking or making fun of patrons. Super cute, can watch! ![]() Next, we saw Buzz Lightyear, so went and took some photos with him. No queue to take photo with him. Either he's not popular or that no one can see him. Because he's also hiding from the rain under shelter. Even a hero is afraid of the rain. Having been on every ride and attraction in Tomorrowland, we left the area satisfied! Headed back to Fantasyland to watch a 3D performance. Mickey's Philhar Magic, didn't exactly know what it was, but should be interesting. ![]() It was actually a 4D short movie of Mickey's magic hat, being used by Donald, and Donald went on a mission to get it back, by heading down into the ocean where he meets Ariel. And at this time, droplets of water were actually sprayed on us. Up in the air with Aladdin and Jasmine on the magic carpet. We felt strong wind blown at us. And into the jungle as well. Relatively short but very very entertaining, especially when we feel that things were flying towards us. Super NICE! Next, we headed to the gardens where several Disney mascots were at. Time for photo taking! ![]() We saw Winnie the Pooh! My favourite! ![]() Then Goofy! ![]() Mickey! ![]() Pluto! ![]() And Minnie! The collages nice right? I also think so! Since I did them, I should be proud of my work right? Next we went to the highly anticipated ride! It's A Small World! The "Most Goosebumps Raised" Ride! The interior was super nice, like some kinda small world indeed! The boat that we took! This ride has the song, It's A Small World After All, played on repeat, but in different languages when we passed by the various dolls dressed in the country's clothing. There were also "Small Small World" versions of Disney characters placed along the ride, and we tried our best to spot them out. First we went to North Pole! Can you spot Bambi? Then we entered Europe! I think it's Europe. Can you see Marie the Chesire Cat? That's Cinderella and the Prince. Mexico I think. Scottish doll playing bagpipes. Some leprechauns and other partners' in crime I think. I can't remember exactly, so make do with whatever I offer. There's Aladdin and Jasmine. Jasmine's pose is very seductive! Then we went into the jungle! Too many coloured animals that I couldn't really spot any special characters. There's Pinocchio! There's a doll trying to jump out from that hot-air balloon! Then we came to Holland! WINDMILLS! Some horse back riding dolls, on a 3 tiered fountain. A boat and 2 chickens on top of sandy hills. Is that a nursery rhyme or just some weird combination? Or is this Mexico instead? I don't know seriously! Arabians dancing with tambourines in hand. INCREDIBLE INDIA! JAPAN! Those are either geishas or king and queen with too much make-up on. Thailand? I think? Vietnam or Malaysia? China! What's with the lion dance? This is like a mixture of generations. From Mulan and Mushu to the Dynasties period to the 夜上海 (Shanghai) period. I shall assume this is Korea then. Then we went underwater to visit Ariel, Flounder and the mermaids. HAWAII! Surfing with Lilo and Stitch! There's Nemo and Friends! Volcano Dance? I bet they'll suffer 3rd degree burns after the dance. INSANE! The coconut bikini ladies! THE MASK! I miss the show! Next we went into the land of "Light". Everything was White, Shiny and Silvery! The best part of the entire ride was here! The colours and the outrageous display of dolls and everything. Simply amazing! Very circus and amusement park-like. There's a Carousel too! And dolls caroling. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Definitely one of the bestest ride! What with all those cute dolls, amazing song, and special theme in every part of the ride. *claps claps* Even the exterior of the ride is magnificent. Comparable to the castle! The overall view of the exterior of the ride. DAMN CHIO RIGHT?! While we were heading out from the ride, there were dolls that were coming out from the "Small Small World" castle facade. Super cute, watch the video! ![]() Next, we saw Alice at Mad Hatter's teacups! This ride got me totally dizzy, since we practically turned the disc super quickly. So the cup turned super quickly as well. I almost felt like I'm flying out of the cup already! Taken before it happened. I wouldn't have such a happy smile after I came down from the cup. By the time we were done, the sun has set. Which meant that we have less than 2 hours to visit Adventureland and be back to the castle for the fireworks. The night view of the castle, even more beautiful! Adventureland, we didn't really had much time to enjoy all the rides in this area. We missed the Lion King performance as well. The tree with lots of lights is supposed to be Tarzan's house. A raft will bring you across the river to his house. It's located right in the centre of the river. Cool right? But we didn't get a chance to go up the tallest place in Disneyland, because it was closed by the time we wanted to head up. So we took a jungle river cruise instead! The cruise brought us around the river, bringing us deeper into the forest and see special things inside. Quite a fun ride, with a very humorous guide. But the sad thing was that, near the ending of the ride, volcanoes were supposed to erupt in front of us, so we can feel the burning fire against our skins. But no eruption happened! And that was supposed to be the cherry on top the an ice-cream sundae! BOO-HOO! While walking back to the Castle near Fantasyland, we decided to take emo pictures because the atmosphere of the area was really good. With only lamps shining brightly at specific areas, the other areas were practically very dark. Which made taking emo shots super nice! And romantic shots as well! Looks like it's snowing right? Super sweet and romantic. Don't get jealous okay? If you are, go ahead and punch Kim in the face! She'll accept it, since she's all lovey dovey now! HAH! BFFs emo together! =( Lastly, we viewed the magnificent fireworks display! If you think it's like fireworks in Singapore, you're wrong! It's a combination of music, lightings and fireworks. 3 in 1! The castle actually lights up with various colours at different areas according to the song played. Then short scenes from Disney films will be shown on the castle walls as well. Fireworks shot up according to the song, with different fireworks that suit the song. SUPER NICE! I have a video of it, but it's size is too huge to be placed here. Sorry. =( Walking along Main Street with no one else around. ![]() Headed into their shops to do a little shopping. Saw super alot of things that we all want to bring back. But because of budget constraints, we only bought what we really really wanted. Actually, I really wanted everything! Someone bring me there again! Group shot at the fountain! Really enjoyed Disneyland! I hope I get chances to go to other Disneylands around the world! Sponsorship deals anyone? To end it off, who said Disneyland is only for kids, "It has that thing - the imagination, and the feeling of happy excitement - I knew when I was a kid." - Walt Disney "I do not make films primarily for children. I make them for the child in all of us, whether we be six or sixty. Call the child "innocence". The worst of us is not without innocence, although buried deeply it might be. In my work I try to reach and speak to that innocence, showing it the fun and joy of living; showing it that laughter is healthy; showing it that the human species, although happily ridiculous at times, is still reaching for the stars." - Walt Disney I SIMPLY LOVE DISNEY! Headed back to somewhere near our hotel. We were famished by the time we finished our little adventure. And we saw this shop.... No idea what it sells, but we were too hungry to care. So we walked in, and were totally blown away by the food! It's something like Yong Tau Foo, but Hong Kong style, you can order any type of noodles, and any type of ingredients, but their ingredients are really special. Lots of cow's intestines and pig's intestines, and other special things. I don't know how to say it, but it's super nice! And there are 4 different soup bases to choose from! Satay, Chilli, Clear Broth and one other I can't remember. ![]() Perfect dinner! Having no fear of shivering to death, since the weather was already so cold. We headed to one of the famous dessert shop for dessert! It's a shop specializing in MANGO products! And all their desserts are super duper nice! The fruits are really really fresh. Pricing wise, still okay, just like dessert at Swensen's or NYDC, but abit cheaper. ![]() THE WONDERFUL DESSERTS TO END OUR WONDERFUL DAY! The things that we bought from Disney! Expensive but worth the purchase! I WANNA GO TO HONG KONG DISNEYLAND AGAIN! No one should get sick of heading to Disneyland right? Ending of with a photo of us at Disneyland!
