31.05.2010. Due to the fact that I'm left with less than a week's time before I enlist, it was time to celebrate BFF's Kimberly's 20th birthday first, since I will not be able to make on her birthday. So like how we celebrated BFF's Daphne's birthday, it was a 2D1N Stayover again.
We met up at Orchard first to go for the Aussie University Fair! After heading there for the 2nd time, I'm much more determined to head over to Australia to further my education right after my NS. Hopefully, by then money wouldn't be an issue! *prays hard* Well, got lots to discuss about it with my parents first though. After an hour or two of looking at the various universities, and Kimberly's application, we took a cab down to the restaurant that I've been having cravings for, Ju Shin Jung! Yup, today was "My Food Recommendations Day", since they haven't been there before, and following the Korean wave, we just have to make a date to this superb Korean BBQ! Yes, I've been there more than once, but who can resist BBQ Pork Belly, Kimchi and lots of K-pop music? I know I can't resist!
In case any of you are wondering, Ju Shin Jung has an outlet at East Coast Park as well, so you don't necessarily have to head to the one at Joo Chiat, which is the one we went to. It's located right at Katong Junction, a street away from Katong Mall.
Yup, like what it states on the menu. West: I think it's Pasir Panjang or somewhere there. East: East Coast Park. And Katong: The one we're at!
We were famished! All of us skipped breakfast just for this meal, although we did have my favourite YAMI Yogurt when we were at Orchard. Luckily, the side dishes came quite quickly and we were able to start off our meal first! *slurps*
Looking at it again just makes me salivate all over again! I say this everytime I see photos of the food!
Apart from just eating it plainly, adding many pieces of it to a piece of vegetable makes it even tastier!
Raw meat hurry and become cooked! I'm waiting to eat all of you!!!!
WOOT! They're done, and I did eat most of the meat. BFFs felt full eventually. Obviously, since Daphne ate 2 big bowls of rice along with pieces of meat, and Kimberly ate so many vegetables and drank 2 bowls of cold soup. It's a wonder they can still stuff food into their stomach!
I'm waiting for the meat to be cooked so they can all be stuffed into my mouth. I'm a HUGE FAN OF KOREAN BBQ!!!! Who wants to head there again sometime?
A hungry man is an angry man! Despite having quite a lot of meat, I still wasn't very happy. So, I ordered more pork belly!!!!
After I could stuff no more, dessert came! Although it was just a heart-shaped sliced of watermelon and a cup of ginger tea, I think it's the best kind of dessert after a very meaty meal! Yes, I'm still very impressed with this place!
Yes, I have a very "interesting" BFF who likes to play games like that. And we weren't even told of it, our expressions were just like that when she was taking the photo. I can even think of the captions for the photo. Mine would be, "Must we leave? I want more meat please! It's playing Korean music, don't leave please!"
After that, we decided to head for some exercise before heading to our dessert shop! And of course, being the BFFs that we are, our exercise would obviously be KARAOKE! So we walked to the nearby Teo Heng, but the rooms were all full. So we had to think of an alternative, at Katong the other best thing to do is to play LAN! Cheap rates to play LAN games are available at alot of various shops around the area. So we decided to head into one of it and play some games!
Played for more than 2hours and we finally had some room for desserts, so off we went to my new favourite hangout, The Cheesecake Cafe! I also had the cravings for the cakes there! Took a bus there, and once again the service staffs were very welcoming!
Oh a reminder, if you want to have seats inside the cafe rather than sitting at the alfresco area, it's best if you call and make a reservation beforehand.
This time, they had a weekly special that isn't on their menu, the chocolate orange cheesecake. So we ordered one of it, and their peach jelly, rum and raisin cheesecake and my personal fave, chocolate banana cake!
We spent roughly 3hours just sitting there chatting. It's really very comfortable, since seats are separated quite far apart and the jazz music played makes one very much at home. And the cakes, very very delicious! We finished all of it within a half hour.
Finally finishing at roughly 1130pm, we took buses back home. Showered, and played monopoly cards till 3+am before presenting our gift to Kimberly.
Spend 2 days doing this! I swear I'm not going to do any handmade gifts anymore. Takes too much of my time! But glad she loved it! The folding of the hearts was very very tiring! Happy that the final product looked so nice!

Due to the following day being a Monday, and Kimberly can't apply for leave at her company. She had to wake up early to head for work, but that doesn't affect me and Daphne at all. We slept through till 1pm before finally waking up. Had lunch, watched videos before finally showering and heading to meet her to watch the show we want to watch the most!
Sex and the City 2!!! I was super duper happy when I saw that its M18 instead of R21! The first movie was super happening and was super funny as well! This one wasn't a letdown either! 2 and a half hours, but no parts of the show made me want to fall asleep. It was soooo interesting and hilarious that you won't even know that time passed! I personally recommend it to all members of O.C.K. and Frenz! You guys will definitely love this show!!! Confirm and chop!

01.05.2010. Went to Downtown East's chalet to celebrate my elder niece, Rachel's 7th birthday. She had invited roughly 10 friends along, so I had to act as the entertainer for the day. To rid myself of such a burden, I called my BFFs along. Thank god for them, if not the amount of sweat would be 3 times as much. Having to play games, run around and mingle with kids totally tire all 3 of us out within minutes.
When it was the time for the kids to head home, we totally drop dead, relieved that it's finally over. Glad that my nieces had a great time!
When it was time to pack up and head home, it was worse than I thought. Having to carry thousand million things was simply tiresome! So, cam-whore first to rest awhile.
During the celebration, my sister offered glitter tattoos for the kids. Being a kid myself, obviously I wanted one too.
Nice right? Got Mickey Mouse design too! (Picture above this, on my forearm) Super cool, but when it comes to washing it off, it's super troublesome.
BFFs had a sleepover at my place, since it was quite late when it ended. Daphne went out with her friends for a friend's birthday celebration. So, Kim and I had some time to make preparations for a minor celebration for Daphne, since her birthday falls on the same day as my niece.
Met her at the bus stop and brought her to the playground nearby where Kimberly was waiting. Surprised her with a cake, since it isn't our official celebration for her. First to celebrate for her face to face, at roughly 12am. *gleams*
While she was making her wishes, I got cream ready, and when she opened her eyes, the cream went directly to her face! =D
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BFF DAPHNE! Love ya! =D
Headed back home, and took our long-awaited shower. We smelt totally gross, mixture of BBQ and sweat. *pukes*
Obviously, stayover includes MONOPOLY DEAL CARDS and CAM-WHORE!

02.05.2010. Took a Polaroid before leaving the house the next day. Headed to Kim's place for another stayover to prepare for Daphne's celebration. We decided to cook a meal for her, but we tricked her into saying that we're heading to Goodwood Park hotel for fine dining, and that she had to dress appropriately. The fact is that we're just gonna have dinner at Kim's place, but it's a meal we prepared.
Headed to NTUC and Cold Storage to purchase all the groceries. Because we have a budget, we had to head to this 2 supermarkets to compare the prices before making the purchase. It was tiring! The weather was super hot, and we had to walk to Causeway Point. After purchasing everything, we wanted to take a cab, but there wasn't any cabs in sight, which resulted in us walking back once again.
Not alot of bags, but the things inside are super heavy! And after walking for so long, it was fucking tiring! Yes, I'm complaining Daphne, so be grateful!
She doesn't look tired right? But she was really pissed off that we couldn't take a cab.
Didn't really know what to give her as a present, so eventually, we decided to give her something hand-made. Took us more than 3 hours to finally finish it up even though it wasn't a very huge gift. I basically took 2 and a half hours to finish up all the drawings.
Not forgetting to take a photo while doing. Eventually we slept at around 1am, even though we didn't have enough sleep the previous day. But we woke up at 12pm the next day, and we still had ample time to do the preparations. I'm so proud of myself! =D
03.05.2010. The day of dining at Goodwood Park Kim's place. We decided on 5 different dishes, and started the cooking.

We even put in effort to make the overall atmosphere like a hotel. Judging from how the table looks like, I can say it's not that bad.
She wasn't too happy when she was here, cos she took quite some time to finally decide on the clothes, but apparently we're not heading to the hotel. HAHA!
She was pissed at first, but she gave up eventually. Lucky she's staying just a street away from Kim, so her outfit wouldn't have to be judged by passers-by as compared to us heading to Orchard right? But she did look pretty awesome, with a dress, high heels, dangling earrings and a nice bag. Yes Daphne, I'm praising you okay?
The meal starts off with the first dish, Chick's First Meeting. In simple terms, it's just chicken soup.
Without looking at the bowl in the centre, it does seems like a photo taken at a restaurant right?
And a Mashy Proposal. Now this is one of my faves, and it's our first time doing it. It tastes super duper nice! It's meatballs and potatoes (both mashed and cubes), both goes super well with the sauce! DAMN DAMN DAMN NICE!
Lastly Duo Zi Duo Sun and Blissful Spritzz. Obviously everyone's fave, CHOCOLATE FONDUE! *screams* and a cup of OJ mixed with Sprite and Vodka! It was super super fantastic, I am so proud of myself that I'm able to cook, without even looking for recipes. It's all feeling! LOL!
We totally enjoyed the fondue! Never stop until we're totally filled to the brim!
This is the gift that we made for her. It's something like a photo frame, but for Polaroids. Wrote our wishes and drew pictures all over it. Click on it to enlarge. Daphne said my art has improved! *proud* I personally love the drawing in the bottom right photo. SUPER CUTE!

Oh well, Daphne's 20th Birthday is over just like that. Kim's coming up soon, but since I'm enlisting soon, I won't have a chance to celebrate for her. But, I'll do what I can before it's here. PROMISE! =D
