Saturday, April 3, 2010 Brought my niece (Rachel) out for a movie today. Since I've been rotting at home for a few days already, I decided to head out of the house. So due to a significant number of good reviews of this movie, we went to watch it. ![]() How To Train Your Dragon! Got to be one of the best animated cartoons I watched. The main lead, Hiccup, son of the leader of the Vikings, apparently small, weak and highly incompetent managed to capture one of the strongest dragon in history, and tame it to become one of his pet. Yes, the name is kinda ironic, because Vikings are supposed to be named in the Strong category but Hiccup is totally not Strong at all. So, the story goes of how he starts to know how dragons feel, and get to bond with his pet dragon, Toothless. Another ironic name, since the dragon does have teeth! The dragons in the show are super cute, with really really cute appearances! While flying one day, he found the dragons' lair and a super duper HUGE dragon! His father, being the leader of the Vikings is determined to get rid of all the dragons for good, but Hiccup knows that the dragons are fighting because of survival. So, his little adventure started. But eventually, he had to confront the super duper HUGE dragon, and face the consequences of being a dragon rider! It's a very exciting show, I got to admit. The end of the fight left me with some tears, even though the entire show was a happy ending. And in the midst of the main story plot, random jokes are made, which really got me laughing like crazy. Yes, the main leads aren't cute nor hot, but the humour made up for everything. I LOVE DRAGONS! Storyline: 9/10 Comments: First cartoon/animation film that I paid $10 for, and yes, IT'S WORTH IT!
