Back once again with more disgraceful acts from typical Singaporeans. This time, a very severe issue, the "chopping" of seats with tissue paper, or other non-monetary assets of a person.

I know I may be a little late in talking about this issue, but I haven't really seen such actions taking place, until today. Well, in coffee shops or hawker centers, that's what one mostly do to ensure that they get a place to sit. And if you notice, most people who do these kind of acts are mostly the OLs or basic working adults. Super "Sua-ku" right? In cheapo places still not that bad, at most people will curse the person who did that, and move on with their lives. But in shopping malls, and fast food restaurants still use this kind of method to "chop" seats.

This was at Subway @ Raffles City Shopping Mall. Yes, there are indeed limited seats provided, but one can always takeaway and find some random seat to eat, what's the big idea. So, the person actually used 2 useless name cards to "chop" his table, and actually, the man walking out of Mos Burger is the same man who "chop" the seats at Subway. Apparently, he wanted to eat Mos Burger but there weren't any seats, so he chose Subway as an alternative, and seeing that there's seats available, he quickly took out 2 name cards, threw it on the table, and walked back into Mos Burger to check for seats. So typical right?!!!! Eventually, he found seats in Mos Burger after 10mins, and he came back to take the cards, by then, potential customers for Subway have left. Maybe next time, we can actually sit on the seats that has some form of "chopping", and when the person return, tell him/her: "You CHOP the table only what, you never chop the chairs, so I can sit lah!" Piss the person off!

For this one, all I can say is STUPID! The lady left a newspaper and a packet of tissue with only 1 piece of it left I think on the uncleared table before heading off to make her purchase of her lunch. While she was gone, the auntie came and cleared everything away, thinking that those were trash left from the previous customer. Stupid right?! And she came back, totally bewildered, because she just lost her papers and a piece of tissue.

I got a super good idea how to ensure you can get a place to sit if you're not one those "Sua Ku" people. You just have to take whatever it is on the table, throw it onto the floor or into the trash-bin and pretend nothing ever happened. And if the person came back, just say: "I don't know, maybe the auntie clear away already loh. When I come, the table was empty liao, so I sit loh!" Feigning Ignorance Is Bliss!

And for those typical Singaporeans who always "chop" seats, let me tell you a way to ensure you seats, without having to lose your favourite tissue paper. Bring along mobile tables and chairs with you wherever you go, so you can always find a seat. If not just glue your hands to a table and your ass to a chair, super convenient! You can sit down anywhere and anytime you like! So, stop being selfish and keep your stupid tissue in your bag or pockets!
