Thursday, February 25, 2010 Apart from visiting relatives on CNY, most people will also make special trips to their friend's for a visit. For teenagers, we did likewise, but with the purpose to gamble! CNY can be said as the only time when people can sit down and gamble all they want at home without getting caught by the cops for illegal gambling and other issues. Also, with the casino opened during the similar period, obviously this festive season has brought along more gamblers to Singapore, adults, teenagers and even kids. Out of every 10 HDB homes, you can hear at least 1 home with the sound of mahjong tiles knocking against each other, or the sounds of people screaming, "Ah Pek, Ah Pek!", which means cards that represent 10 in Blackjack. This really shows how many obsessive gamblers there are in Singapore, without counting those queuing up to purchase their lucky numbers and win the 4D. With 15 days for CNY, it only lets those addicted gamblers either go crazily happy or emotionally unhappy, since they'll be either winning alot or losing alot. But whatever the issue, GAMBLING IS FUN ONLY WHEN ONE WINS! 3 more days till the end of CNY, so keep playing! Whether you'll be smiling or crying after Day 15 will definitely be an interesting watch! Let's hope the news reports more deaths due to the inability to repay debts to loansharks. HAHA! Oh yeah, you know the 12 Days of Christmas song? Maybe one should come up with a song called 15 Days Of New Year, and the song shall reveal how a person celebrates for 15 days, and the ending is he dies because he can't repay the debts he owe for the past 14 Days. Interesting? I think so! Labels: Happy Chinese New Year
